We are looking for a Supply Chain & Export Compliance Analyst to join our team.
This is a professional analytical role focused on workflow improvement, compliance systems, and supply chain performance.
The role supports the sustainable growth of the company's sheepskin processing and export business by ensuring efficient export operations, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain & Export Operations Analysis
Analyse end-to-end export workflows from raw sheepskin intake to containerised shipment.
Analyse supply chain coordination between suppliers, processing operations, and export logistics.
Develop data-driven recommendations to optimise logistics coordination, inventory flow, container utilisation, and turnaround times.
Coordinate and maintain traceability systems for New Zealand-origin primary products in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with export-related obligations administered by MPI, including record-keeping, tracking of raw material sources, eligibility documentation, and processing history.
Support compliance with New Zealand Customs Service requirements relating to export declarations, cargo clearance, and customs documentation.
Act as an operational liaison with regulatory bodies, including responding to information requests, audits, and compliance reviews.
Monitor regulatory updates affecting primary product exports and translate compliance requirements into operational processes.
3.Data Analysis & Process Improvement
Collect and analyse operational and supply chain data.
Develop performance tracking and monitoring frameworks.
Prepare analytical reports to support management decision-making.
4. Regulatory & Cross-border Coordination
Support communication and coordination between New Zealand operations and overseas sales teams.
Assist in maintaining compliance readiness for MPI audits and regulatory reviews.
Support risk identification relating to export compliance and supply chain integrity.
Pay Rate: $43-$48 / hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 30 hours. Permanent full-time.
Requirements for the job:
Candidate should have a bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Management, or a related discipline; or if no qualification, 3 years of work experience in the related field is required.
Strong understanding of international trade, logistics coordination, or export operations.
