Kitchen Hand- 2 Postions

Blenheim Central, Marlborough

Pay rate: 24.00 to 25.00 per hour.

Full time minimum 30 hours per week

Position Summary:

Be responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and work closely with Chefs and support your colleagues.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• cleaning kitchens, food preparation areas and sculleries
• cleaning cooking and general utensils used in kitchens and restaurants
• transferring, weighing and checking supplies and equipment
• assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking, and preparing salads, savouries and sandwiches
• packing food and beverage trays for serving
• cooking, toasting and heating simple food items

PREREQUISITES:

·      Enthusiastic and positive attitude

·      Exceptional communication skills

·      Strong customer service skills

·      6 months to 1 year experience within the commercial kitchen OR a qualification at NZQF level 1 required.

·      Loves to contribute to a team environment.

·      Must have flexibility on working weekends, days/hours to cover leave and peak trade periods as per the roster as the restaurant is open 11 am to 10 pm all 7 days.
