We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to compliment the kitchen team. The candidate must be “hands on” with strong focus on training and creating an experience in a breakfast and lunch, setting that has an unforgettable memory. Candidate has to possess strong leadership and mentoring skills. An experienced Sous Chef, with strong restaurant background in a Luxury Hotel or High-End Restaurants would be ideal.

The Role:

• To assist the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine  in ensuring that all culinary standards in that section comply with company and Hotel Policies and Procedures and Minimum Standards.
• Work with Executive Chef to create new menus
• Ability to work flexible roster shifts
• To ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to the standard recipe.
• To work united as a team

Qualifications:

• Min 3-year previous experience in a similar role as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in Luxery Hotel or restaurant
• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and workplace health and safety standards
• The ability to problem-solve, delegate and prioritize with a strong eye for detail
• Able to interact with guests providing an exceptional experience
• Work experience in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards; preferably with experience in luxury international brands
• NZ residency or working rights
