HEW AND HU Ltd is looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team in Auckland. If you have experience in Malaysian cuisine and a strong commitment to quality, we’d love to hear from you!
Job Details:
• Position: Chef
• Vacancies: 1
• Location: Otahuhu, Auckland
• Hourly Rate: $25 - $35 NZD
• Work Hours: 30 - 45 hours per week
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Education: No formal qualification required
Key Responsibilities：
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Making Malaysian sauces, creating dishes, developing new dishes, and quality control
- Check quality of ingredients
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Collaborate with other chefs to prepare authentic Malaysian cuisines during dining hour
- Maintain accurate food inventories and place orders when there are shortages
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
