Panda Spicy Express is looking for a skilled, reliable, and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy Sichuan-style lunch and dinner.

Pay: $30 - $36/hr (based on experience)

Hours: Min. 30 hours per week

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth service, efficient workflow, and a positive dining experience for customers.
2.    Work with the chef on menu items, portion standards, pricing, and suitable dishes based on customer demand and business needs.
3.    Arrange purchasing of food ingredients, beverages, packaging, and other supplies in line with the restaurant’s budget, and monitor stock levels and wastage.
4.    Maintain records of stock, sales, cash handling, and other financial transactions, and assist with basic cost control.
5.    Supervise, train, and support front-of-house staff, including preparing rosters, allocating duties, and monitoring work performance, while working closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
6.    Handle customer enquiries, complaints, reservations, feedback, group bookings, and small dining arrangements professionally, and may greet guests and assist in taking orders as required.
7.    Ensure the restaurant is clean, safe, well-presented, and compliant with food hygiene, health and safety, and other relevant operational requirements.

To be successful in this role, you should:

1.    Minimum of two years’ experience in café or restaurant operations, with demonstrated responsibility for staff supervision, customer service, or day-to-day operational duties.

2.    Have the ability to follow health and safety procedures and guidelines;
3.    Good staff supervision and team coordination skills;
4.    Good customer service and communication skills;
5.    Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings (up to 9:00 pm), weekends as required.
6.    Must be able to work through the Christmas & New Year period.
7.    Applicants must have no criminal convictions and must pass a drug test.
