About the role

Help shape better decisions at Aon New Zealand by lifting business quality and reducing risk across our branch network. As a Business Quality Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of our compliance and assurance program—translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, easy to follow processes, partnering with leaders and frontline teams, and driving continuous improvement that delivers good outcomes for clients.

You’ll role model our values—Committed, United, and Passionate—while providing actionable insights that strengthen our risk culture and the client experience.

What will you do?

In this hands‑on role, you’ll combine structured testing with stakeholder coaching. You’ll plan and conduct assurance activities (audit and remediation), analyse results, produce clear, insightful reports, and champion consistent standards across broking teams—staying ahead of regulatory change and embedding improvements that matter.

Key responsibilities include
  • Conduct compliance and quality assurance testing across the branch network and assess outcomes. Generate clear, detailed reports on findings and recommendations for action. Engage and coach frontline colleagues on compliance, regulatory requirements, and broking standards.
  • Monitor and validate the remediation of assurance findings through proactive engagement with frontline colleagues.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and process risks; recommend practical fixes and continuous improvements.
  • Maintain and evolve the compliance and quality assurance programme; manage stakeholders to keep its profile high.
  • Keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments (including culture & conduct) and reflect learnings in practice.
  • Lead clear, regular communication across the NZ channel, act as a brand ambassador with clients, regulators and carriers.
Who are we looking for?

You’re an experienced, hardworking BQA who builds trust fast, enjoys partnering with collaborators, and is known for a clear communication style without the jargon. Diligent yet pragmatic, you turn data into insight and regulation into simple, repeatable practices that teams can adopt.

Proven exposure to audit, compliance, risk and assurance programmes in insurance/broking or financial services are highly beneficial for this role.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Sound knowledge of New Zealand regulation, including the Financial Markets Conduct Act as amended by the Financial Services Legislation Amendment Act 2019.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with strong analysis and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to balance testing, reporting, and collaborator engagement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; confident coaching teams and simplifying complex requirements.
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word; preferably SharePoint).
  • Passion for delivering good client outcomes and promoting a constructive risk culture.
