\nBaseline Group is a specialist land development consultancy with offices in Christchurch, Auckland, and Marlborough. We work across planning, surveying, civil and structural engineering, and resource consenting - but land development is what we do best.
\nWe are a small team by design. That means you work directly with our directors, you see the full scope of a project, and your contribution actually moves things forward. If you have come from a large firm and spent most of your time on one small slice of a project, this will feel different.
\nWhat are we looking for?
\nWe have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional with a proven track record in subdivision and land development projects. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality work under the guidance of our senior leadership, while maintaining the autonomy to manage your own time to hit key project milestones.

\nAs part of our civil engineering team, your day‑to‑day will cover the full range of land development engineering:

\nAt the intermediate level, you have options. Large consultancies will offer you brand recognition and structured programmes. What they will not always offer you is proximity to the decisions, variety across a whole project, or the ability to see your work through from design to construction.
\nAt Baseline, you report directly to our Engineering Team Leader and work alongside directors who have been doing this for over 20 years. You will be involved in projects from early design through to council approval and site sign-off. The projects are real, the team is tight, and the work is varied — subdivisions, commercial developments, infrastructure, and everything in between.
