BestStart has a range of Head Teacher opportunities across Auckland, in both under-2 and over-2 environments. Each centre has its own personality, shaped by its team and local community, but all share a commitment to nurturing calm, connected spaces where tamariki flourish and Kaiako are supported to reach their full potential and chase their dreams!.

Full-time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday

What Youll Do:

  • Lead curriculum design, planning, and reflective practice
  • Build warm, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and your team
  • Mentor and support Kaiako, growing capability and confidence
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and care
  • Champion your rooms vision and values while aligning with BestStarts philosophy

What Youll Bring:

  • A Level 7 ECE or Primary teaching qualification and full certification
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team - or the readiness to step up
  • A collaborative, heart-led approach to leadership
  • Strong understanding of child development and learning
  • A commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive practice
