Work Visa required: All applicants will be required to provide proof of their eligibility to work in New Zealand.   About the company Our client is a large, community-owned business with over 30,000 customers across South Canterbury.   About the role The organisation is seeking a new Head of Safety to lead and embed a significant transformation programme. This role is not about maintenance but about driving change, embedding good practice and ensuring safety is integrated within a broader organisational portfolio.   Drive a holistic approach to safety within the wider organisational portfolio, fostering collaboration, resolving conflict and building a culture of continuous improvement.   Duties
  • Lead and own the delivery of the safety transformation roadmap
  • Ensure strategic plans are implemented and embedded into daily operations.
  • Provide strong governance capability
  Skills and experience With up to 24 months of work still ahead, the role requires a seasoned leader who can take full ownership, deliver tangible outcomes and provide strong governance and influencing cultural change.
  • Experience in a Head of Safety role required
  • Strategic thinker who can also drive execution and see initiatives through to completion.
  • Resilience, credibility and the ability to operate effectively from day one in a complex environment.
