Heavy diesel manager

We, at East Coast Heavy Diesel and Machinery have a very exiting opportunity for a Workshop Manager to join our team. We provide support for all Commercial Transport Vehicles, Earth Moving Equipment and Machinery. We are partnered with a large range of well known brands, such as Scania and Iveco for this role.

We operate from two sites at present, Gisborne and Whakatane. We are currently recruiting for our branch in Gisborne. We are a family owned business, with family values at our core.

We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated fully qualified Workshop Manager; that has vast knowledge of the transport repair world. (Class 5 license is a must) You would be working in our modern, fit-for- purpose facilities that help make work more enjoyable and efficient.

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes.

• Previous experience of managing a Workshop.

Have at least 3 years experience in the diesel repair and maintenance field as a fully qualified technician and have the willingness to learn as we grow with our Partners as well as growing the team.

• Ability to think outside the box and be able to solve problems.
• Have a good understanding of repair and maintenance of a diverse range of vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Have a good understanding of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels and be a team player.
• Hold a full Class 5 Drivers License.
• Take pride in your workmanship and getting it right the first time.
• Come with enthusiastic, positive and motivated work ethic and nature.
• The commitment to working within ECHD Health and Safety policies.
• You will need to have a good level of fitness to meet the demands of the role.
