JB BEDI INVESTMENT LIMITED is a professional logistics company providing reliable and efficient transport solutions. The company is seeking multiple committed and professional Truck Drivers to join our team in the Waikato region. The candidates will be required to travel within the Waikato and nearby regions, and all travel and fuel costs will be covered by the employer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular safety checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
• Load and unload freight safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Drive the vehicle safely to deliver freight on time.
• Park and secure the vehicle safely overnight and on off-days.
•Manage freight documents, delivery dockets, and other associated paperwork accurately.
• Maintain an up-to-date logbook in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Secure loads properly to prevent damage or accidents during transport.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both inside and out.
• Perform floating duties, travelling between locations as required day-to-day.
• Interact professionally with clients, authorities, and the public.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or notable events promptly.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $28 to $35 per hour.
Other Requirements
• Relevant truck driving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must hold a valid NZ Class 5 truck Driver license or a Heavy Overseas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed, including weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• DG endorsement is required. We can assist in attaining it if selected for this role.
• Physically able to load and unload heavy goods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable, motivated, and hardworking.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
