We are a leading salad packaging facility committed to providing high-quality, fresh, and safe food products. As part of our growing team, we are looking for a skilled Plant Mechanic to oversee the maintenance and repair of workshop equipment to ensure smooth operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of factory machinery and equipment.

• Ensure that all mechanical systems operate efficiently to prevent downtime and maintain productivity.

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to prolong equipment lifespan. Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutions.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any significant issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.

Skills & Qualifications:

A minimum of an NZQF Level 4 qualification in a related mechanical field or a bachelors degree in any discipline.

Alternatively, at least two years of relevant work experience in plant maintenance or a similar role.

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including conveyor belts, automated packaging machines, and refrigeration units.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment. Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
