About the Role

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our Health Promotion team as a Senior Marketing Lead. The purpose of the role is to provide social marketing advice, as well as design and delivery of social marketing initiatives as part of a comprehensive health promotion approach. Provide marketing and communications advice, lead strategy, development and implementation of campaigns, resources, digital tools and other programme initiatives.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact peoples health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

About you

You will be a highly experienced marketing professional, with expertise in stakeholder engagement. You are someone able to demonstrate mature communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write and present effectively, and to develop, unify and maintain strong internal and external relationships essential for achieving sustainable outcomes. Youre an Innovative thinker and can deliver results using evidence-based insights.

Skills and Experience

• A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in a related area (marketing, social marketing, communications, PR), or relevant workforce experience
• Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
• 5+ years demonstrated and successful experience in a senior marketing role5+ years experience in social marketing for government or not-for-profit agencies is highly desirable
• Significant project management and administration skills and the ability to effectively develop, lead and coordinate multiple activities and monitor outcome achievement
• Experience in applying critical thinking, using sound judgment to develop options and knowledge of the machinery of government, and policy development, is preferable
