Job Opportunity: Restaurant Manager – Monsoon Taumarunui (Indian Cuisine)
Location: Taumarunui, Manawatu Region
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Employment Type: Full-time (Minimum 30 hours/week)
Working Hours: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, Monday to Sunday (on a rotating roster)

Monsoon Taumarunui is a vibrant Indian restaurant located in the heart of Manawatu, serving authentic and flavorful Indian dishes. We are currently seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the daily operations of the restaurant
• Monitor food and beverage preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
• Manage staff performance, training, and shift scheduling
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
• Ensure inventory control and order supplies when required
• Monitor financial transactions, prepare budgets, and ensure cost-effective operations
• Supervise dining and kitchen areas to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with marketing and promotional activities to enhance the restaurant’s visibility
• Enforce operational policies and improve service standards where needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in hospitality or restaurant management
  OR a New Zealand Register Level 4 Diploma qualification in hospitality or a related field
• Strong understanding of Indian spices and cuisine (essential)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
