Key Responsibilities: 

  • Be the Centre Managers Right Hand: Play a pivotal role in keeping our centre running smoothly every day and inspire our team through strong leadership skills.
  • Champion Enrolments and Community Connections: Lead the way in welcoming new families and building strong relationships within our community.
  • Elevate Education and Care: Ensure that we consistently deliver top-notch education and care, setting the standard for excellence.
  • Implement and Evaluate Te Whāriki-aligned Curriculum: Implement and assess a curriculum that reflects the principles of Te Whāriki, ensuring our tamariki thrive.
  • Foster Inclusive, Culturally Responsive Learning: Promote learning opportunities that celebrate and respect the diverse cultural backgrounds of our children and families.
  • Manage Learning Documentation: Oversee childrens learning documentation and e-portfolios, capturing their growth and achievements with care.
  • Lead the Creation of Engaging Environments: Provide leadership in designing and maintaining vibrant, stimulating learning spaces.
  • Support Staffing, Marketing, and Recruitment: Lend your expertise in staffing, marketing, and recruitment efforts whenever needed, ensuring we have a strong and dedicated team.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Teaching Council-Recognized ECE/Primary Qualification: Hold a qualification thats recognized by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa NZ, showcasing your commitment to quality education.
  • Current Practising Certificate: Bring your up-to-date Teaching Council Practising Certificate, ensuring youre ready to make an impact from day one.
  • Proven Leadership Experience: Have a track record of leading and developing teams in ECE, guiding them to success.
  • Passionate About Te Whāriki: Share a deep enthusiasm for Te Whāriki and culturally responsive practices, driving our mission to honor and celebrate diversity.
