Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, Permanent
Our pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour depending on personal ability.
We operate a busy bakery with locations in Tauranga and Rotorua, located in the Bay of Plenty Region. Shift hours will be on a rotating roster from 2:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. We are seeking individuals who are able to start early at 2:00 AM and are available to work on weekends when required.
To strengthen our team, we are currently seeking 2 Bakers to join us. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about baking, have a keen attention to detail, possess the ability to multitask, and can contribute proactively as team members.
Ideal candidate should have a relevant qualification of level 4 or higher or bachelor or 6months relevant work experience same filed or industry. Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens.
Tasks Include:
· Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment to make doughs for pies, pastry, bread rolls, and other pastry foods.
· Make sweet, savory and special ingredient fillings, sources and toppings.
· Check the quality of the ingredients and the prepared raw materials to make sure quality standard are met
· Set, adjust and monitor oven and other cookware’s temperatures to ensure proper baking and cooking time
· Take out the baked pastry from the forms, trays, unloading, de-panning and cooling the finished products
· Decorate, glaze and adjust the display of the finished products
· Test the finished products to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality requirements
· Clean and restock workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
· Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
