Job Description

\n Japan Mart Assistant Store Manager Trainee (Full-time) Responsibilities:\n

    \n
  • Staff training and supervision, shift scheduling, and task allocation
    • \n
  • Managing sales and analyzing data
    • \n
  • Managing stock, Purchasing products, Price setting, Stocking Shelves
    • \n
  • Strict hygiene and safety management
    • \n
  • Organizing event promotional planning
    • \n
  • Coordination with headquarters, monitoring market trends, and proposing improvements
    • \n
Place of Work:\n

Japan Mart all branch (Auckland / Wellington / Christchurch)

Hours of Work:\n

40 hours per week

Work schedule follows a 5-day rotating weekly shift, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Suitable Candidates:\n
    \n
  • Holding right to work in New Zealand (A visa with more than 2 years of validity is preferred. Working holiday visa is not acceptable)
    • \n
  • Be able to work flexible shifts including weekends, holiday seasons, and late nights
    • \n
  • Having experience working at Retail inventory (more than 1 year) or being interested in working at Retail shop
    • \n
  • Leadership skills and experience in food sales
    • \n
  • Having basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sake is preferred.
    • \n
  • Must be fluent Japanese
    • \n
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
    • \n
  • Basic computer skills are required. Experience in using ERP (e.g., NetSuite) in sales and logistics operations is a big advantage.

  • Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail
    • \n
  • Honest, communicative and loyal person
