Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly ambitious and motivated team player to progress their career in an equally challenging yet exciting role, as a Business Partner.

What does a day in the life of a Business Partner look like?

  • New and existing client meetings in the office or off-site in their business.
  • Proactively developing relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Growing relationships with local professionals and referral networks.
  • Undertaking Business Development activities in your local market and attending relevant events.
  • Working through funding requirements to help our customers grow.
  • Collaborating with a great team to support our customers goals.

What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?

The market is competitive and commercially orientated; therefore, the role requires the Partner to ideally have business banking experience, otherwise you'll demonstrate strong commercial acumen, and understanding in the value of networking and connecting people, and what it means to create success in a relationship management role. Ideally you will have existing strong business acumen and business development skills. You may already have an established professional network, or a proven ability to grow a network, in order to acquire new business. We are looking for someone who has:

  • A proven track record of success in financial services and experience dealing with business banking clients
  • You love working with a range of different people and enjoy building and managing relationships are energised by helping those that work with you to grow
  • The ability to effectively manage complex relationships, and work well in a team
  • Extensive knowledge of banking products, markets and industry trends
