Position: Cook Business: Country Gardens Motel Location: 13 John Street, Coonabarabran, New South Wales, 2357 Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 Hours: 38 hours per week – Full Time DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS: Our business is Country Gardens Motel serving Indian Cuisine and Western Cuisine. We need Cook to perform the following duties: Job Description • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes for a full-service restaurant in accordance with established recipes and service standards • Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation during all stages of preparation and service • Maintaining consistency in portion control and presentation • Operating and regulating kitchen equipment, including ovens and grills, to ensure correct cooking temperatures • Seasoning, plating, and finishing dishes with appropriate sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments • Preparing meals to meet special dietary requirements and customer requests • Managing storage, rotation, and labelling of food items • Ensuring safe storage of food in temperature-controlled facilities in line with food safety requirements • Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage • Assisting with menu planning, food preparation levels, and service coordination • Supporting and guiding junior kitchen staff during service periods Skills Required: Qualification: Cert III + two years of on the job training or Cert IV or Diploma Experience: 3 years of experience Specialisation: Indian Cuisine Other Skills • Commercial Cooking Skills • Menu Execution & Plating • Food Safety & Hygiene • Equipment Operation
