Work Location: Waikato

Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, Monday to Sunday), Permanent

Our pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour depending on skills

We are a well-established popular takeaway based in Waikato.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 cooks to join our team.We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidates should have at least 2 year’s work experience in cooking at commercial kitchen, or have a relevant level 4 qualification or equivalent certificates.

You are required to:

• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
• Preparing and Cooking food in various utensils and grillers
• Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during/after cooking
• Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs
• Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away
• Storing and reserving food
• Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
• Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assisting with training and coordinating with junior cooks or kitchen hands, as requested by Executive Chef
