We are full of people who have a passion for doing good and creating positive change. We leverage our collective strength by bringing the dairy sector together, helping farmers build more sustainable, profitable and resilient farm businesses, because a strong dairy sector means a strong New Zealand.

Your opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the effective management and continuous improvement of DairyNZ's facilities and office environments. As a key member of our Corporate Services team, you'll ensure our physical workspaces are safe, functional, and aligned with organisational needs across all sites. While facilities management and office support services are the core focus, you'll also oversee corporate procurement, contributing to operational efficiency and value for money. Based in our Hamilton office, you'll have oversight of regional offices in Lincoln, Invercargill, Palmerston North, Stratford, Rotorua, Whangārei, and Wellington.

In this role, you will support the business by:

  • Leading facilities planning and operations to ensure safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose workspaces.
  • Managing health and safety compliance for buildings and infrastructure, in collaboration with the H&S Lead.
  • Overseeing procurement strategies that support office and farm operations, with a focus on cost-efficiency and sustainability.
  • Maintaining strong vendor relationships and managing contracts to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Aligning office resources and support services with operational needs across all locations.
  • Attracting and developing talent within your team to deliver high-quality facilities and support services.

About you

You will have a passion for planning and executing projects and take a strategic approach to achieving relevant outcomes for DairyNZ. Your solutions-focused and proactive approach will positively impact our people through fit-for-purpose working spaces and well-sourced operational resources.

As a team player you build and leverage your relationships across the DairyNZ offices and externally with suppliers. You will display a high degree of integrity and professionalism while bringing a sense of fun and energy to the role.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • A proven track record in managing facilities, including strategic planning, budgeting, project management and change management.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relations.
  • Sound analytical skills to evaluate options and recommend solutions.

It would be beneficial, but not essential, if you have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Knowledge in health and safety regulations and compliance.

Why you should join us

Make a difference - Together with our farmers, help us drive positive progress for the sector and country we love. Our credible work supports a sustainable future for farmers, the environment and communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Bring the whole you - We put people at the heart of what we do. We welcome all that you are and support your wellbeing, so you thrive personally and professionally.

Join a vibrant culture - Be part of a team that truly believes in our values. We have the courage to take bold action and the curiosity to drive innovation. Our credibility shines in our evidence-based work and our connectedness builds meaningful, collaborative relationships.

Empowering you - We succeed when you do, which is why we champion the development and growth of our people. We empower you to do and be at your best through learning opportunities and great benefits.
