Pakūranga College is a large (2,200+ students), coeducational, culturally diverse secondary school located in Pakuranga, East Auckland.

We are seeking a passionate HOD of te reo Māori to lead our ākonga on their learning journey. Please state your other teaching subjects in your application.  

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience or a willingness to grow in the HOD role.
  • Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori, and mātauranga Māori.
  • Proficiency in te reo Māori.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across teams.
  • Strategic in their thinking and leadership capabilities.
