We are Seeking:

The therapists

-        Therapists who has experienced 1 - 3 years in spa or massage business

-        Must have Thai Massage possess valid training certificates in Thai Massage 150 hours or more

-        Experience in Traditional Thai massage, Thai Yoga massage, Herbal Compress, Hot-Stone, Aromatherapy, Tapping and other specialty treatments such as medical/rehab massage and cupping would be an advantage

-        We will accept applications from suitable therapists that are New Zealands residency/citizens. Who are on current valid work visas or who are overseas wishing to work in New Zealand.

-        The therapists must be able to speak English, offer massage advice to clients and explain their treatments

-        Be very friendly with excellent people skills, have a passion for their job and must have the ability to work in a professional team environment

-        Have loyalty, Honesty, hardworking, good hygienic and physical fitness be Punctual, able to work unsupervised .

We offer:

-        We offer a Permanent full-time Position

-        A five or six-day working per week, minimum 30 hours and maximum 48 hours per week with flexible hours based on client demand, peak hours, and any personal needs. Additional hours or modifications to the set schedule may be negotiated based on availability and business needs.

-        Earnings between $1,005 - $1,608 per week. (minimum pay is $33.50 per hour)

-        Transfer assistance to Christchurch if required and Accommodation, Legal and Medical Support once you get here.

-        Work location in Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand

-        Transport to and from work if required.

-        Uniform provided

 Massage Therapist Job Description for duties and responsibilities:

·     A massage therapist is responsible for treating clients through soft tissue manipulation while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience.

·     The therapist should be good at perceiving client wishes and needs through spoken language, body language and other cures and modifying their treatments accordingly. Effectively communicate with guests to confirm services and to review special needs

·     Provide 30 minute, 60-minute, 90-minute or 120-minute massages or more to clients by appointment

·     Guide clients through service offerings and determine which massages would benefit them

·     Ensure guest is comfortable and being well attended

·     Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions

·     Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body

·     Explain main steps of treatment to prepare guest

·     Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods

·     Offer a refreshment to each guest at completion of service and escort guest to relaxation area or locker room

·     Suggest future massage appointments and regime to clients

·     Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire

Environment and to business:

·     Provide a safe, clean, and suitable workspace

·     Maintain a clean work area and sanitize any instruments

·     Provide administrative support for scheduling and payments as needed.

·     Promote the services, including booking clients and managing appointments.

·     Restock and replace linens, supplies and other items as necessary to ensure there is no delay between treatments

·     Performance of duties occurs indoors in temperature-controlled setting and occasionally outdoors, as season permits
