We are looking for experienced Property Maintenance Technician for our client, you will be working in Bay of Plenty, with weekly guaranteed hours at least 35 and a gross hourly pay rate between $30 and $35.
In this role you will be part of a successful team, building award winning new homes and as part of this team you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality workmanship.

Job Duties:

 Provide technical assistance to maintenance team - maintain and make repairs to buildings, doors, windows, framing, and grounds etc.

Reading of blueprints or detailed instructions to complete the work for the maintenance team.
Taking measurements and calculating size and amount of materials needed.
Cutting and shaping material using a variety of tools.
Repairing framework and roof framing, sub-flooring and floorboards.
Assembling of prepared wood to form fittings ready to install.
Working closely with other project members to ensure health & safety rules are adheredto.
Completing all structures to the highest quality workmanship.

Provide technical assistance to facilities team members and sub-contractors.

Ensure cost-effective operations through proper care and maintenance of equipment, tools, materials, and supplies.

Ensure the implementation and maintenance of approved contract and company HSE, Quality assurance and environmental procedures.

Assist in estimating materials and labour requirements to complete assigned tasks.

Assist in scoping, scheduling, and resourcing a variety of projects with the Project Manager/s.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with existing and new clients, with suppliers and subcontractors.

Attend to after-hours calls and emergencies if and where required.

Report on the progress of all projects.

Perform other relevant duties as directed by the Project Manager. 

Ensure coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope - set deadlines, direct the appropriate technicians to various jobs and monitor and summarize progress of projects. Projects are defined as property maintenance, remedial works, and large project works. ( All in conjunction with the Project Manager).

 

Experience:
3 years’ experience or more experience as a Carpenter is preferred.
Experience in framing, cladding, formwork and concrete is preferred.
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
Must be hard working and motivated.
Must be willing to submit to a drug test and pass.
Self-motivated and a pro-active attitude.
