Restaurant Manager Start Date: December 2025 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations, especially during peak family dining hours, weekends, and large group bookings.
- Coordinate Korean BBQ table service, including ventilation, grilling assistance, and replenishment of side dishes.
- Manage reservations and group dining, ensuring efficient table turnover without compromising service quality.
2. Staff Supervision & Training
- Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff, including introducing Korean dining customs to non-Korean staff.
- Provide training on BBQ service, customer service, hygiene, and food safety.
- Foster teamwork in a multicultural environment, bridging language or cultural gaps when required.
3. Customer Service
- Create a welcoming environment for diverse customers, including local families, students, professionals, and tourists.
- Ensure authentic Korean dining presentation (side dishes, table settings, shared meal etiquette).
- Handle customer feedback promptly and maintain high service standards.
- Financial & Inventory Management
- Monitor sales, costs, and profitability.
- Manage procurement and stock of key Korean ingredients (kimchi, specialty sauces, meats), ensuring freshness and cost efficiency.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships, including both local and ethnic providers.
4. Marketing & Community Engagement
- Develop seasonal promotions and set menus that appeal to both Korean and local customers.
- Support marketing and branding through social media and locally tailored promotions.
________________________________________ Skills and Knowledge required:
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience, or experience in running ones own business.
- Strong understanding of Korean cuisine and dining culture, especially BBQ service.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage operations under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

- Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 45 hours per week
- Roster: Tuesday to Sunday (including weekends and public holidays)
- Pay Rate: NZD $26 - $36 per hour (plus holiday and public holiday entitlements) ________________________________________
