Kuber Bhandari Limited T/A Liquorland is seeking reliable, friendly, and responsible Retail Assistants to join our team in Auckland. This is a customer-facing role in a busy liquor store, where you will support the Store Manager with daily operations, assist customers, handle stock, and ensure the store remains well-presented and compliant with alcohol regulations

Job Description:

Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Help customers choose products, including beer, wine, spirits, and mixers.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve simple issues politely.
Ensure responsible service of alcohol at all times.

Store Operations:
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-organised.
Maintain attractive product displays and shelving.
Follow company policies and safety procedures.

Stock and Inventory:
Receive and unpack liquor deliveries.
Refill shelves and maintain product presentation.
Assist with stocktakes when required.
Check product expiry dates and rotate stock.

Cash Handling:
Operate the till and process customer payments.
Balance cash at the end of shifts (as directed by the Manager).
Team Support:
Work collaboratively with other staff.
Follow instructions from the Store Manager.
Support promotions and in-store activities.

Skills and Experience:

At least 1 year of relevant work experience
 OR
At least a Level 2 or higher qualification.
(Either relevant work experience or qualification is required)
Honest, reliable, and responsible attitude.
Ability to work in a team and independently.

Other Requirements:

Must pass a character check.
May be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
Must be able to work flexible hours, Split shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Must hold a full and clean driver’s licence.
