We are currently recruiting for a full-time Pastoral Support to be a part of the RSE team based in Te Puke and reporting to the RSE Pastoral Support Team Leader.

As the Pastoral Support, you will enjoy a varied role engaging and supporting our diverse workforce employed through the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) Programme. Your primary responsibility will be to provide pastoral support that aligns both with our obligations as a Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) and our internal practice and policy that continuously strives to “select excellence” in all that we do. To be successful in this role you will have the ability to communicate clearly and considerately and to assess and address individual needs.

The Role:

As an integral part of our team at Seeka, you will play a key role in ensuring the health and welfare of our RSE workers from the Pacific Islands and Malaysia is managed and maintained professionally on a day-to-day basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong relationships with RSE workers, acting as their ‘go-to' person, and handling any issues in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Assisting with Inductions with RSE teams on their arrival and managing the teams at departure times.
  • Ensuring accommodation is kept clean and tidy, and providing assistance to teams when necessary.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external support services, such as doctors and dentists.
  • Working effectively both within a small team and independently, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong organisational skills and effective communication abilities
  • A mature, energetic approach with a positive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to manage your time efficiently and adapt to the varied tasks within the role
  • The capacity to interact and relate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • A genuine passion for caring for others and a desire to make a difference
  • Experience or understanding of the RSE program
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • A clean and full driver's license
