Within RIS, theEngagement, Data and Innovation (EDI)groupdevelops new products, services and operational policy to advance RIS Branch priorities. Our Data & Insights teams utilise our data and analytics expertise to inform operational and policy decisions and risk-based regulation, while owning our key regulatory systems.
The role | Te tūnga
This is a key senior role within a high-performing team, responsible for leading strategic engagement and sector education initiatives that increase awareness, influence behaviour change, and support compliance across our regulatory systems.
As a trusted advisor, you will develop and deliver engagement strategies that connect regulatory priorities with the needs of diverse stakeholder groups. You will bring a customer-centred perspective to complex issues, providing expert advice on how to effectively engage, inform, and influence audiences to achieve meaningful outcomes.
You will lead the development of clear, compelling, and accessible communications and engagement products across a range of channels. This includes translating complex information into targeted written, verbal, and visual content that meets the needs of different audiences and supports informed decision-making.

- Significant experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and sector education within a complex operating environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement engagement strategies that influence behaviour, build understanding, and support organisational objectives.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build, influence, and sustain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
