The Role

Were looking for a Senior Pumping & Irrigation Technician to bring hands-on expertise to the installation, servicing, and maintenance of pumping, irrigation, reticulation, effluent, and control/monitoring systems. Youll play a key role in delivering engineered solutions end-to-end, while being supported by a strong, experienced team.

What youll do

• New project design. You will work alongside the Company Director (Davieth Verheij) and/or other senior colleagues to complete new system design work and pricing.

• Project management, execution and commissioning. You will lead your own projects with support from your colleagues. This includes collating materials, facilitating contractors, completing site works and completing job cards.

• You will work closely with the customer (typically a farmer). Clear communication around timing, job processes, expectations and updates are essential.

• Install & maintain water and effluent treatment, pumping, reticulation, irrigation and control/monitoring systems

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system faults

• Carry out preventative maintenance and system inspections

• Provide technical support and leadership in the field

What were looking for

• A proactive mindset and genuine interest in sustainable farming solutions

• A strong team player who values collaboration and culture

• Naturally self-driven, reliable, and organised, with the ability to see tasks through to completion

• A high level of experience in water, irrigation, wastewater/effluent systems, engineering or another rural role would be advantageous but not essential. We have a knowledgeable team that can support the right person.

• Strong mechanical & electrical fault-finding skills

• Current drivers license (essential)
