Retail Store Manager – Taupo
Full-Time | Permanent | Minimum 30 hours per week | $30–$35 per hour

About Us
Smart Mobile Limited operates a growing network of retail and service stores across New Zealand, including multiple locations in Waikato region. We specialise in mobile phones, laptops, computers, tablets, accessories, and professional repair services. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a motivatedStore Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Taupo store.

The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring flexibility to work on a 7-day roster. The Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, supervising staff, maintaining stock, and achieving financial and customer service targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Determine stock and customer service standards
• Plan and implement purchasing, marketing, and promotional strategies
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and stock control processes
• Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, and implement cost controls
• Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to deliver excellent customer service
• Maintain accurate staff and attendance records
• Ensure compliance with employment, health & safety, and company policies
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to enhance store performance
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and local community stakeholders

Skills & Experience

• A Level 5 diploma or higher in a relevant field, or at least three years of relevant work experience (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory control, and budgeting is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities is preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
