Either based from your home office - or branches in Dunedin, Cromwell or Invercargill, you'll own the Southland and Otago territory, driving sales by nurturing existing relationships and hunting new opportunities.

This role is perfect for a motivated sales professional with heavy equipment industry experience who thrives on overachieving targets - on top of a competitive salary and company vehicle, your commission on sales is uncapped, making this a rare opportunity!

About the role:

  • This is an autonomous role, managing and growing the Southland and Otago customer base
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to drive new and used machinery sales through regular call cycles, cold calling, follow-ups, and attending relevant events.
  • Ensure all sales documentation, including agreements, delivery reports etc are accurately completed and payments are received within required timeframes.
  • Provide weekly and/or monthly reports detailing client visits, outcomes, issues encountered, and sales pipeline.
  • Understand your competitors' offerings and pricing, and leverage your unique selling points to gain and retain market share.
About you:
  • You're a highly motivated, driven sales hunter - already embedded in the Southland and Otago region
  • You're an exceptional closer, with the experience and edge to seize every opportunity.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in equipment sales in the construction industry.
  • You know your sales style and what drives you. You're not one to stick to the comfort zone of existing clients - you're energised by chasing and winning new business.
  • You understand the sales game - lead generation, calls, visits, proposals—and you know exactly what it takes to increase market share
  • You're financially driven - therefore uncapped commission on your sales performance is your ideal situation
  • You thrive working independently, expertly planning your day to maximize every sales opportunity.
  • You bring strong technical skills and a genuine passion for technical solutions, driven by a commitment to continuous learning and becoming a market expert.
