The Ōtaki to North Levin project focuses on upgrading the transport link along State Highway 1 (SH1) between Ōtaki and North Levin to improve road safety, reduce congestion, enhance travel efficiency, and support regional economic growth. It is one of the Governments Roads of National Significance and is being undertaken by two Alliances - the north (delivered by partners Fulton Hogan, HEB, WSP and Aurecon) and south (delivered by partners Downer, McConnell Dowell, Beca and Tonkin+Taylor).

This exciting new four-lane 24.8km highway project will dramatically improve safety and resilience, providing better access to walking and cycling facilities for those moving around or through the Horowhenua and Kāpiti districts. The project includes multiple large complex bridge structures plus a full interchange at Taraua Road, a half interchange north at Taylors Road, two roundabouts and approximately 4m m3 of complex earthworks significant, drainage infrastructure and a structural asphalt concrete pavement.

In partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and the Horowhenua District Council, this project will be executed through a two-alliance approach. Each alliance will be responsible for delivering a section of the road and associated works, ensuring a collaborative and comprehensive delivery.

As a Traffic Management Operative, you will assist with the traffic management on site, with current relevant tickets, ensuring a strong commitment to safety.

You will get the job done by completing tasks set by your Supervisor who manages the programme of work, this is the plan we use to deliver work (who does what, and by when).

In addition to the above you will:

• Assist with temporary traffic management on various worksites in line with current codes of practice
• Effective communication with the work site STMS/foremen to ensure smooth operation
• Complete all training required for temporary traffic management
• Identify and eliminate hazards as per hazard identification sheet
• Youll also contribute in any other duties or projects that are reasonably requested

• Traffic Control Qualification
• Minimum Restricted licence - Full is preferred
• Ideally experienced in or has an understanding of civil construction
