We specialise in selling vaping products, which will need to interest the successful candidate, as this requires extensive product knowledge, excellent information retention and an open mind. 

THE ROLES - CASUAL SALES ASSISTANTS - NAPIER AND HASTINGS COSMIC

We have two casual sales assistant positions for our Napier and Hastings stores. The successful applicants will be available to work weekends, have morning and evening availability, have the ability to cover extra shifts where required and be comfortable working solo shifts.

And as it goes in the land of retail, we will require flexibility around the months of December through to February as this is our busiest time. It is likely that you will be rostered on New Year's Day and the surrounding weeks. Please consider this prior to application.   

Reporting to the Store Manager general responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greeting all customers in a friendly appropriate manner.
• Ascertaining their requirements and directing them to the most suitable products.
• Gaining an extensive knowledge of vape products.
• Handling any enquires or returns in a professional manner.
• Going that extra mile to create and maintain regular and loyal customers.
• Willingly assisting other staff members with customer problems or requests.
• Ensuring promotional displays are well laid out and fully stocked.
• Perform end of day banking duties accurately and to a high standard

Must:

Be able to work weekends.

Comfortable working alone.

Be flexible in shifts and the ability to cover at short notice where required.

Have experience in Retail and or customer service 

Strive to be the best, while offering the customers an experience to remember

Have a good technical understanding and interest in vaping

Be interested in providing an alternative to the normal offerings in New Zealand retail

+ Must be over 18 years of age and comfortable selling age restricted items responsibly as this is an age restricted store (18+)

Must also have:

Confidence

Great initiative

High energy

Excellent time management skills

AND Knowledge of our brand and stock is a huge plus!

The successful candidate must have previous retail experience and be able to deliver results as well as work closely with other team members to ensure a well functioning store.
