Aviation Security Officer - Load Assistant

Fixed Term Hourly Christchurch, NZ, 8544 Aviation Security Officer - Load Assistants Christchurch Airport $55,327 (pro rata) per annum| Fixed term, Part Time Frontline Aviation Security role with full training provided and long term career opportunities available. The Aviation Security Service currently has fixed term part time opportunities available for Load Assistants based at Christchurch Airport with full training provided - no experience required! About the role As a Load Assistant you will be responsible for greeting passengers and preparing them for pre-flight screening at Christchurch Airports International and Domestic screening points. We have multiple 5 month fixed term positions available from mid April 2025. For these roles, we are requiring a workforce that is available for 6.5 hour shifts from 4am to 6pm, across 7 days a week. You will be working a 6 days on/3 days off roster including days, nights, weekends and public holidays. As the role is due to begin mid April, we will be prioritising candidates that are available immediately. Why join us? To be successful in this role, you should be able to engage with a broad range of people, keep calm when things get busy, and have clear verbal communication skills. Ideally, you will have prior customer service experience, but this is not essential. What do you need? To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

• Be immediately available
• New Zealand/ Australian citizenship or New Zealand residency
• Be able to manage your own transportation to and from work (on-time). Please note: there are no public transport options available to meet the start of this shift so you must have your own reliable means of transport, along with the appropriate drivers licence
• Willing to comply with all required Health and Safety procedures.
• Able to work a shift pattern of 6 days on and 3 days off
