What you will be doing
The Tools & Methods Manager is responsible for evaluating, implementing and optimising delivery management tools and methodologies to enhance delivery robustness, consistency, efficiency and effectiveness.
Reporting to the Delivery Ways of Working lead, this role will coach teams and key stake holders to ensure the successful adoption of delivery ways of working best practices. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the organisation consistently adopts and follows Towers delivery ways of working and continuously reviews methodology and tooling to ensure Tower is keeping up with global best practice and continuously improving ways of working ultimately enhancing overall delivery performance, delivery outcomes and delivery productivity.
Dive into the Heart of Your Responsibilities:
- Own, embed and continuously improve Towers delivery tooling assets (Towers lead Jira Administrator)
- Set tooling requirements for delivery teams and support with custom Jira configuration where appropriate.
- Monitor JIRA hygiene and ensure minimum standards and expectations are being meet via quality assurance monitoring. Work with Product Owners, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts to ensure expectations are being met.
- Maintain the Tower Delivery Ways of Working Playbook and SharePoint site which articulates how change should be delivered across Towers portfolio of work (including programmes, projects, continuous improvement and BAU)
- Lead standardisation, adoption and training and upskilling by working with L&D to build relevant training and onboarding modules
- Conduct health checks to ensure application and adherence to Towers delivery management framework and tooling standards (including data integrity and user access)
- Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that Towers delivery tooling assets and delivery methodology meets Towers requirements
- Lead the ongoing optimisation of existing delivery management tooling (Jira)
What Youll Need
- 5+ years experience in delivery management, Agile coaching, or similar role, ideally within the financial services industry
- Has experience and is unbiased towards different delivery methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall and a Hybrid of both
- Has deep knowledge of delivery frameworks, methodologies and tools, ideally with a relevant certification (e.g. ACP Certification in Jira Administration)
- Has experience successfully implementing portfolio management frameworks (e.g. P3M), portfolio / project management tooling (e.g. Jira) and/or methodologies (e.g. Agile) in a large organisation
- Proven ability to coach and improve the ways of working of cross-functional delivery teams
- Experience in leading change management initiatives to support the adoption of new tools and methodologies
