Verma Haulage Limited is a transport company operating in Gisborne. We are looking for a Truck Driver (Class 4) who will be required to drive the companys truck to deliver goods. The job duties are as per below:

• Drive and operate the company truck to deliver goods to various locations within the Gisborne and nearby regions.
• Adhere to safety protocols while driving to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
• Maintain accurate records of driving mileage, rest and work breaks, and receipts for gas and tolls.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable laws regarding vehicle size, weight, parking, route designations, and break times while driving.
• Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring they are properly secured and inspected.
• Maneuver the truck into loading or unloading positions as needed.
• Plan the most efficient delivery routes and keep an accurate log of items being delivered and picked up.
• Monitor for any mechanical or equipment issues and report them immediately.
• Keep the truck clean and tidy, including cleaning windows, windshields, and mirrors as necessary.
• Promptly report any accidents or issues encountered while operating the vehicle to supervisors.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure the truck is well-maintained at all times, addressing cleanliness and upkeep regularly.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $28 to $32 per hour.

Other requirements for the role:

● Minimum 1 year of Truck Driving experience

● Valid Class 4 Drivers Licence with a clean driving record

● Dangerous Goods certificate is preferred.

● Available to work for extended hours and on weekends if required.

● Physically fit and healthy.

● Hardworking and passionate about work

● Attention to detail

● Able to pass random drug tests

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
