Associate / Senior Associate FICC - Financial Markets Permanent full-time role Based in Britomart, Auckland Mō te tūranga | About the role Our Financial Markets team help our customers with FX products & services, Interest rate risk, Commodities, Fixed interest & debt securities, Credit & rates and Debt capital markets. They have extensive experience and knowledge in both local and offshore markets and are able to help advise everyone from consumer customers through to small businesses and major institutional customers. As a member of the FICC team you will be responsible for assisting the client-facing NZ Trading business, with a view to building out pricing capabilities and eventually risk ownership across a wide range of Financial Markets products. Key responsibilities include:
  • Learning and understanding multiple products (Spot FX, FX Forwards, Credit, Carbon and interest rate cash and derivatives.)
  • Assisting traders with risk and P&L analysis
  • Assisting traders with pricing and funding transactions
  • Working with Sales pricing customer flow.
  • Engagement with other stakeholders within Financial Markets

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, VBA
  • Bachelors degree in economics, finance or STEM related disciplines preferred
  • Some experience within Financial markets or risk management experience in financial assets.
  • The successful applicant will be required to complete the modules and training to achieve NZFMA Accreditation within 6 months of joining
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
