The Senior Advisor Wellbeing, Culture and Learning has an important role to play in upholding this culture. This is a varied role which will draw on your breadth of knowledge and experience in organisational development and/or learning and development.

This opportunity would suit a superstar who is excited to:

  • Take a lead role in embedding the Ministrys leadership framework and leadership development approaches
  • Take a lead role in implementing our new active listening approach to employee experience and engagement
  • Help source, develop, deliver, evaluate and report on enterprise-level learning programmes and outcomes
  • Take a lead role in re-establishing our Ministry Awards programme
  • Lead stakeholder management on projects and events for a broad range of audiences including senior leaders
  • Role model culturally affirming practices through your approaches and relationships; and
  • Support the operational delivery of wellbeing, leadership and learning events.

To be successful in this role you will ideally bring:

  • Extensive experience and expertise in organisational culture, leadership and/or learning programmes
  • Experience with employee experience surveys including design, analysis, debrief and action planning
  • A commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an understanding of te ao Māori, te Reo me ōna tikanga Māori
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural worldviews and how this translates to a learning context
  • Wizardry with Microsoft Office products including MS Teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; and
  • Personal qualities such as a growth mindset, curiosity, creativity, adaptability, patience, tenacity and a sense of humour.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between $97,208 and $135,539, based on skills and experience.
