Te Tūranga | About the role:

Silver Fern Farms has invested heavily in building a robust security foundation across the business. As the security posture of SFF continues to grow with future focused work, they are recruiting a Security Analyst to:

• Maintaining the SFF security toolsets and monitor key security metrics
• Be involved in assessing third party risk management and solution threat modelling
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and events
• Extend the continuous improvement programme of work
• Facilitate activity between external partners and internal teams to build and maintain secure solutions

This role may require after hours or weekend work, and some nationwide travel.

Ideally this role would be based from one of our major Hub locations - Dunedin, Christchurch, or Auckland. There may be an opportunity for an ideal candidate who is based elsewhere to be considered if they could deliver the role exceptionally well and were willing to meet the travel requirements.

What makes a good Security Analyst?

You understand the importance of following process and routine, but also, you work to understand the source and reason for those processes. Youll have an instinct for when something is wrong and have the confidence to speak up when these instincts kick in. Ideally, youll have operational experience, come from a technical background and have a broad cyber security skill set. Additionally, youre someone who understands the impact that your work has on your colleagues working within SFF.

Youll bring a:

• Deep interest in general security and cyber security in particular
• Curiosity to discover “rabbit holes” and tenacity to find where they go
• Monitor the never-ending task of vulnerability assessment and management
• Have a continuous learning mindset
