We have fantastic opportunities for experienced Production Line Leads to join our Christchurch plant to lead our teams on morning and afternoon shifts.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the primary focus of this leadership role is to manage a production team to deliver high quality glass products within a short lead time, with a primary focus on safety and wellbeing objectives.

• Morning shift: 5.00am - 1.30pm
• Afternoon shift: 2.30pm - 11pm

About You

• Able to lead with humility and respect, showing empathy while at the same time ensuring clear expectations set and met by all individuals.
• Truly puts safety and wellbeing at the forefront of every activity.
• Leads by example in this area and expects a high level of input, feedback and compliance from all team members including adherence to SOPs.
• Has a lean approach to continuous improvement, encouraging all team members to actively contribute to the goal of absolute plant reliability and stability.
• Ability to coach and direct our skilled production teams to develop their skill sets and provide them with the tools to succeed.
• Understands Lean tools such as Visual Management, 5S Workplace Organisation, PDCA and 5Ys Root Cause.

Recommended Skills

• At least 3 - 5 years experience running, operating and maintaining a manufacturing production line is essential.
• Sound production, manufacturing / machine operation with quality control requirements and quality / compliance testing is preferable.
• Knowledge of computerized operating systems with proven experience in operation and fault finding.
