The purpose of the Finance Partnering Teams is to support delivery of the finance strategy, co-piloting the enterprise to be the bank for NZ through being a trusted partner on Leadership Teams and providing insights and analytics to support the achievement of financial goals. This is an Auckland based hybrid role with three days in the office and two where you can work flexibly. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst looking for that next step in their career. Youll demonstrate strong analytical experience within Finance and have worked previously within a large organisation. What are the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

• Supporting Finance Business Partners by delivering accurate and timely forecasting and analysis.
• Preparing management packs and presenting insights that will drive commercial decisions.
• Investigating issues and creating solutions.
• Month end tasks form a relatively small, but critical part of the role.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? There are a number of new things to investigate which may not have been done before. People will have to think about the best way of providing insight. This will require thinking outside the box, to look through a new lens and to work collaboratively within the team. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? Youll be or demonstrate strong analytical experience within finance. We are ideally seeking someone with experience within banking or financial services or supporting technology, within a large organisation prior. Youll be results focused, curious & commercially astute, but the role also requires a strong attention to detail and a good track record of engaging with stakeholders all levels of the business, reporting findings and challenging the status quo. We are looking for:

• Previous experience within a commercial finance analyst, or similar role.
• At least 3 years experience gained in a large corporate, ideally supporting the technology function, or within financial services/banking.
• Sound understanding of financial management policies and methodologies.
• Ability to convey complex issues into simple language for others to comprehend.
• Ideally a degree qualified in finance, accounting or business and a financial qualification such as CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is preferred, although not essential.

What is your management style? I look to coach employees to ensure that they are working towards their own goals, as well as team targets. This will look different for each individual, depending on their needs. The team is very supportive, people go out of their way to help each other out with their individual goals. What is the team culture and environment like? The team is hard working, while also being very supportive and fun.
