Baker wanted

Work Location: Bay of plenty

Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, Monday to Friday), Permanent

Our pay: $25 - $28 per hour depending on skill and experience

We are a busy bakery shop based in Bay of plenty.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 1 Baker to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for baking, attention to details, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidate should have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent certificates or 2 years relevant work experience in bakery. Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens.

Tasks Include:

• Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment to make doughs for pies, pastry, bread rolls, and other pastry foods.
• • Make sweet, savory and special ingredient fillings, sources and toppings.
• • Check the quality of the ingredients and the prepared raw materials to make sure quality standard are met
• • Set, adjust and monitor oven and other cookwares temperatures to ensure proper baking and cooking time
• • Take out the baked pastry from the forms, trays, unloading, de-panning and cooling the finished products
• • Decorate, glaze and adjust the display of the finished products
• • Test the finished products to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality requirements
• • Clean and restock workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• • Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
