About the role

We are seeking an administrator superstar to join our Forensic Community Team based on the Ratonga Rua o Porirua Campus. The key responsibility of this position is to provide administrative support to the Team Leader, Clinical Nurse Co-Ordinator and team members, to assist them in achieving the goals and objectives of their operational area. This support will enable the delivery of administrative services that will assist team members to provide a safe, quality service that is in line with best practice and service specifications.

About our team

The Central Regional Forensic Service covers Wellington, Manawatu-Whanganui, Hawke - s Bay and Gisborne districts. The forensic services operate between the criminal justice system and general mental health services.

The Community Teams principal role is to provide mental health services to all prisons and courts in the region. We have forensic adult community teams based near the courts in the main cities in each district and near the five prisons in the central region of the North Island. These teams also follow up in the community certain tangata whaiora/consumers that transition from the inpatient units.

The Service also provides consultation and liaison to General Mental Health Services, including provision of cultural support with formal reviews and a network of community services based across the Central Region. You will be joining a diverse team made up of both clinical and non-clinical staff who are passionate about the work they do and giving back to their communities.

Our ideal candidate would be someone who is able to adapt and make the role their own. You will be comfortable with developing and maintaining systems and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
