Reporting to the Business Implementation Lead, the Lead Advisor plays a key role in supporting the development and delivery of the Business Implementation plans that will support us to deliver new technology foundations for sourcing, contracting, reporting and payments for partners that deliver social services.
You will lead a dedicated team of Advisors and Senior Advisors, providing expert advice, managing priorities, and overseeing workloads to ensure the timely and effective delivery of high-quality outputs and advice.
We are looking for Lead Advisors who are experienced in change management and supporting the implementation of technology changes. Each role would have specific focus area that supports training, business process mapping, and the assessment and management of change impacts. Youll be accountable for supporting the successful implementation of technology foundations change, with a strong focus on ensuring a positive experience for our people, clients, and providers.
You will achieve this by:
- Understanding what the changes are, what they mean for our people, and planning effective change implementation and support
- Coordinating and supporting key functions that enable change (e.g., change, communications, learning, workforce, engagement)
- Supporting the creation and execution of a comprehensive change implementation and transition plans
- Driving strong business engagement throughout the change period
- Building trusted relationships with the business to support them through change
- Being highly flexible and able to pick up and lead a range of activities to successfully roll out change
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience leading complex programmes or projects, with strong project management, critical analysis, and strategic advisory skills
- Demonstrated ability to support and influence senior leaders and executives in a public sector environment
- Proven people management experience, including setting priorities, overseeing workloads, and guiding high-performing teams
- Strong relationship management skills, with experience building credibility and partnerships across all levels, including external providers and cross-agency stakeholders
- Experience leading organisational change and delivering initiatives that align with long-term business needs, strategic priorities, and business integration
- A solid understanding of business processes and how to optimise them to support effective service delivery and organisational performance
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe and Lean methodologies
- A collaborative and adaptable working style, with sound judgement and the ability to manage competing demands in a complex environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills and the ability to convey complex ideas clearly
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, risks and improvements, and develop practical, forward-thinking strategies
- Strong strategic thinking and business planning skills, with a focus on results and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with the confidence to lead, influence, and support others effectively
- Procurement and contract management experience or knowledge (advantageous)
