New Zealands Aluminium Smelter (NZAS), known as Tiwai by locals, are on the look-out for curious minded individuals who want to take on a rewarding career with us! 2025 is set to be an exciting year for our teams, with activities across a range of site-based initiatives for both people and processes.

We are looking for a NZ Registered Electrical Tradesperson.

Every hour of every shift, your safety and wellbeing is our number one priority. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools and training they need to do their job.

The successful applicant will be working Shift Roster 2 (2 x 12 hour days 8am to 8pm and 2 x 12 hour nights 8pm to 8am then 4 days off.

Youll follow a structured process to optimise preventative maintenance tactics and minimise overall business costs. With a demonstrated commitment to improving safety, cost and productivity, responsibilities include:

• Accountability for breakdown maintenance, planned preventative maintenance on numerous Reduction equipment including cranes, compressors, pot cells, conveying systems along with the maintenance and repair of associated equipment.
• Promote and identify HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes and behaviours
