Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Manager to join our team and oversee the strategic planning, management, and operational oversight of our data centre facilities.

• Oversee daily operations of the data centre, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security of all systems and infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage data centre capacity and costings, ensuring efficient utilization of resources while planning for future growth and scalability.
• Lead incident management processes, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure quick resolution of issues and minimal disruption to services.
• Ensure regular maintenance and updates of data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
• Implement and enforce security protocols and procedures to protect data centre assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to optimize data centre operations, including hardware procurement and support services.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

You will bring 5-7 years of experience in data centre management or a similar role, with a focus on infrastructure operations. You will manage a team including a Project Manager and a Storage Engineer.

• Proven track record of leading technical teams and managing complex data centre environments.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and standards related to data centre operations and security.
• Experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams.
