Te Reo Tātaki, TVNZ is undergoing transitioning from a broadcast centric organisation to become a digital-first, public media streamer. This transition is supported by a strategic transformation programme designed to speed up our transition. It will provide the roadmap for Te Reo Tātaki, to continue as a vibrant, commercially sustainable media organisation that delivers trusted news, sport, and the best of international and local entertainment to Aotearoa for generations to come.

The opportunity - Te tūranga

We are looking for an End to End Delivery Manager to work in the Content Media Systems Investment Programme (CMSIP) on the Digital Stream. The role will be working closely with the Senior Project Manager and the Technical delivery teams to support the successful delivery of the Digital Transformation. It will play a pivotal role ensuring alignment across the delivery element while managing risks and dependencies.

This role covers both technical and project leadership and while its not an architecture role, it does require deep technical oversight working across vendors, internal teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. There are many legacy systems that will integrate with the new solution so experience in this type of environment would be beneficial. You will ideally have come from a development background and so can work with technical teams with knowledge of what is needed.

In this role your focus will be on:

• Owning the technical delivery of the platform, ensuring alignment between architecture, development, integration, and deployment.
• Drive cross-workstream coordination, identifying risks, gaps, and dependencies across teams.
• Work closely with third-party vendors to ensure technical integration, alignment on delivery timelines, and resolution of dependencies.
• Act as the bridge between product managers, developers, architects, QA, and DevOps to ensure seamless delivery.
• Proactively remove blockers and facilitate communication across workstreams.
• Drive alignment between technical and business stakeholders to maintain scope, quality, and timelines.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical delivery plans, ensuring workstreams align on priorities and sequencing.
• Track and manage dependencies, risks, and milestones, escalating where necessary.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to establish project initiation frameworks, structure, and governance guardrails.
• Adapt to agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods as required.
• Champion continuous improvement and efficiency in delivery methodologies.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

To be successful in these roles, you will need the following

• Strong track record of managing end-to-end technical delivery across multiple workstreams
• Experience delivering a Digital B2C platform as a Technical Delivery Manager
• Experience with AWS integration services and plug in 3rd party applications (think Modern web infrastructure and SAAS environments)
• An understanding of the media industry or advertising is highly desirable
• Strong background in large technology and business-focused projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methods
• Experience working in ambiguous environments, with the ability to bring clarity and direction to initiatives
• Proven ability to work in environments with low structure, helping to establish governance, frameworks, and structured ways of working
