About the Role
Reporting to the National Manager Health Technology Management (HTM): Deployment and Delivery, this is a Regionally focused role delivering clinical equipment, Projects and Programmes approved as part of the national capital plan.
About the Team/Service/ Location
This role has a focus on delivering clinical equipment and works closely with the national Health Technology Management team, other Regional delivery teams, and local clinical areas as well as Finance, Data and Digital, Infrastructure and Investment and Procurement to lead the delivery of clinical equipment for the Central Region.
This role is a 3-year fixed-term contract to deliver outcomes set out in the clinical equipment capital plan and this new role is based in the Central | Te Ikaroa Region.
About you
You are a self-starter who thrives on developing and delivering initiatives and projects on time, within budget, and in scope — ensuring full benefits realisation. With a strong understanding of medical devices, lifecycle and project management, you bring a robust knowledge of New Zealands health system and how clinical technology integrates within it.
Your background across clinical environments, Project Management and outstanding stakeholder engagement will support you in seamless project delivery, backed up by a proven track record of developing high-value business cases. With at least eight years of experience in clinical environments, program and project delivery, you have the skills to navigate complex initiatives while delivering meaningful outcomes.
Passionate about health technology and projects, you excel in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, adapting quickly to new challenges while maintaining a strategic focus on improving healthcare delivery, and supporting our Central | Te Ikaroa communities.
Experience and Expertise:
Draw on clear programme and project delivery experience in varied environments, with an emphasis on health, across 8+ years including:
- Degree in a relevant field e.g. health science, engineering (preferably clinical engineering), business, logistics, technology and/or equivalent level of related practical experience
- Post graduate qualification or certification in a relevant area e.g. Prince2/PMP, and/or equivalent level of experience
- Project and Programme Management delivery experience at a senior level
- Minimum 5 years experience preferably in a health technology environment e.g. clinical, clinical engineering, information technology or clinical equipment project delivery, within a leadership and staff management role, initiating and managing deliver and deployment projects as part of planned equipment programmes
- Able to be regularly challenged, and successfully navigate through a wide range of conflicting requirements with ambiguous and conflicting statements
- Connections, networks, relationships and engagement with community groups that may experience health inequities
- Ability to maintain a focus on required objectives while prioritising issues across multiple time frames and with key stakeholders, while ensuring a quality customer service
