• Salary band - $116,000 - $127,000 p.a pro-rata and KiwiSaver
• 1.0FTE/80 Hours per fortnight
• Fixed-term parental leave cover until 17/8/26

About the role

This is a great opportunity to promote quality nursing care through research-based practice and be responsible for patient care and quality improvement initiatives right from square one.

Responsibilities of the role include the following:

• Manage the Southland (Dunedin held) waiting list including data integrity
• Supervise the management of patient waitlists
• Ensure the patient journey is as smooth as possible including timeliness to appointment and treatment and follow up care
• Provide support for Registrar led F/U OPD
• Contribute to the ward support for plastic surgery patients, ward rounds, advice and assistance with wound care, handover of ward rounds
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the delivery of care for nurse appropriate patients

• Registered Nurse with current APC
• Drive and enthusiasm to advocate for the best model of care for our community
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Proven practice experience within the defined scope of clinical speciality
• Ideally you will already be working at a Clinical Nurse Specialist level and have a post graduate diploma (or working towards) and/or a masters degree

Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($116,040 p.a) and Step 3 ($127,674 p.a pro-rata) of the Designated Senior Nurse Scale Grade 2.
