About the Role:
As a Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales team by managing and coordinating the end-to-end bid process for high-value opportunities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all bids are compelling, competitive, and aligned with client needs, ultimately supporting revenue growth and market expansion. You will collaborate with various internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, as well as external stakeholders, to gather information and ensure bid compliance. Your expertise in developing bid strategies, crafting persuasive content, and managing project timelines will be crucial in securing new business and contributing to our companys growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute bid strategies that align with company objectives and target client requirements.
- Manage the entire bid lifecycle from qualification to submission, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality responses.
- Craft clear, concise, and compelling content that addresses the clients needs and highlights the companys unique value proposition.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with bid submissions, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and company guidelines.
- Lead post-bid reviews to assess bid performance, identify lessons learned, and inform future improvements.
About You:
You possess excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create persuasive, client-centric content. Your strong organisational and time management skills enable you to handle multiple bids simultaneously, while your interpersonal skills allow you to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients. You have a deep understanding of business development principles and pricing strategies, and you are familiar with the agriculture industry trends and challenges.
Ideal Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience (3-5+ years) as a Bid Manager, Proposal Manager, or a similar role in a B2B sales environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and bid management software/tools preferred Hubspot.
- Project Management experience with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a talent for crafting persuasive, client-focused content.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
- Understanding of business development principles, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with corporate agriculture industry trends, challenges, and key stakeholders.
- Experience in the corporate agriculture sector is desirable.
